It only takes 4 simple ingredients to make Chocolate Banana Nice Cream!
“Nice Cream” is one of my favorite treats and it is super simple to make!! You just blend frozen bananas in your food processor or blender, and it makes a soft-serve ice cream or “nice cream!” Bonus: its dairy-free and gluten-free and I was really surprised by how much it tastes like real ice cream.
3 medium bananas, the riper the better; frozen
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/16 teaspoon salt
3 Tablespoons cocoa or cacao powder (15g)
Optional: 2-3 t. milk of your choice to help your blender or food processor blend smoothly
Optional: sweetener of choice, depending on your tastebuds and ripeness of the bananas (I didn’t need to add any sweetener.)
Toppings: cacao nibs, sprinkles, chopped nuts
Ahead of time: peel and freeze over-ripe bananas in a Ziplock bag. Combine all ingredients in a Vita-Mix, food processor, or blender. (If not using a Vita-Mix, add 2-3 teaspoons milk of your choice so it will blend smoothly.) Serve immediately for soft-serve consistency. Freeze for 10-15 minutes for a firmer ice cream.
