Time to catch up….starting with the Franklin Classic 10k!
It’s a local race benefiting Mercy Community Healthcare with a 10k and 5k option. It’s notoriously hilly and hot and this year did not disappoint. I’m not a short distance runner, but I love running with my friends.
Fleet Feet brought some rad shades! Jason brought his photobomb skillz.

I spent the rest of the day trying to magically heal my ankle. I’m hoping it’s just overuse. I did a trail 20 mile race, a 20 mile long run, and a 10k race in 9 days….doh!
Amazingly, I didn’t miraculously heal overnight and had to skip my morning run with friends through Percy Warner Park.

Do you struggle with taking rest days or do you enjoy them? Obviously a big YES for me!
Do you prefer 10k/5k races or longer races? Why? I feel like I get to enjoy longer races, whereas the short fast ones just make me want to puke!
Have you tried the Dark Chocolate Almonds from Trader Joe’s? Oh my gosh…they’re SO good!!! Dark Chocolate + Almonds = health food, right?
