No-Bake Energy Bites

These no-bake energy bites are so simple to make and taste great!  They’re also packed with healthy ingredients that you can easily customize to suit your tastes.  I made this peanut butter and chocolate version for a trail run and they were a big hit!



18-20 bites


Add all of the ingredients into a large bowl.

Stir until completely combined.

Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.  Once chilled, roll into balls of whatever size you prefer.  I used a 1-inch cookie dough scoop for mine.

Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week in the refrigerator…although we eat them a lot faster than that in our house!


1 cup (dry) old-fashioned oats
2/3 cup toasted coconut flakes
1/2 cup nut butter of your choice (I used Nut Butter Nation Honey Vanilla Peanut Butter)
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips or cacao nibs
1/3 cup honey or agave nectar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 Tablespoon chia seeds (optional)


Stir all of the ingredients together in a large bowl until combined.  Cover and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Once chilled, roll the oat mixture into balls.  I used a small cookie dough scoop and made 1 inch balls.  Store in an airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to 1 week.
