I joined my friends for one last run in TN before leaving for NYC.
Corrie made the yummiest “Big Apple” sugar cookies for good luck!
‘Pup’-date: Charlotte is home and doing SOOOO much better! Thank you all for your sweet words!!!
I made sure to save some magazines for my flight.
My hotel had Good Luck cupcakes waiting on me….such a sweet surprise!
And I headed out for a little sight-seeing and shopping!
It was National Oatmeal Day, so I was required to have a bowl! (Click here to read my Ode to Oatmeal)
I met up with Team Asics for drinks. I’ve followed these bloggers/social media gurus for ages, so it was super cool getting to meet in person!!!
After drinks, we went out for a yummy Italian dinner.
I had a mushroom and asparagus risotto!
The Asics team was kind enough to invite me to their shakeout run through Central Park.
I thought it would be a huge ‘open to the public’ run. Instead it was a small group and we got to run with Sara Hall, Deena Kastor, and Ryan Hall…holy guacamole!
And it wouldn’t be a marathon without a Bart Yasso selfie, lol!
And if that wasn’t cool enough, our run group had breakfast together and the elites gave us advice for Sunday’s race!
Some reps from Sony also joined our breakfast and brought us these AH-MAZING Smart B-Trainer wireless headphones. They have GPS, Heart-rate monitor, Bluetooth and obviously….also play music. I can not wait to try them!!!!
After a quick shower, we met back up and headed to the expo.
It got real….real fast. This is happening!
Of course, I shopped. Then Jason flew into town and I cabbed it to meet up with him.
I ate this entire gorgeous pizza by myself. Hello carbs!
And, I have to end this post with a HUGE thank you to everyone that ordered a CHOOSE JOY shirt. 100% of the profits are donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital….and you ladies look gorgeous!
Do you still read tangible magazines or do you read them online?
