Race Bound!
This post might be a bit of a hot mess! I’m writing it with sketchy internet service from a cabin in the woods…
Wednesday:
I met up with my friends for a hilly run in Percy Warner Park.
I LOVED seeing pictures of everyone’s puppies for National Dog Day!!
I met up with the Brentwood Breakfast Club for a fun run!
And came home to a little Post-It Cheerleading…
I got a pre-race tune-up from Robin Frazier at Franklin Massage Center. Her deep tissue sports massages hurt in the best way possible. Her “I Survived” shirts are very appropriate and hilarious!
I wanted to carb up for this weekend’s Cumberland Plateau Stage Race and made a big bowl of oatmeal for dinner.
I did an easy shakeout run to prep for the race. This isn’t a goal race, so I didn’t taper. I’m just using it as a long training run.
I packed up the car. All of this is for one weekend of trail running, lol!
And of course I found a Starbucks for the drive.
Are you an over-packer?
Do you use races as training runs?
What are you most looking forward to this weekend?
