Raw and Vegan in Nashville!

Today is the LAST day to enter my Garmin VivoActive GIVEAWAY!!  Click HERE!!

Thursday:  Coffee and manners will take you far!

The Brentwood Breakfast Club had a great run and breakfast from Whole Foods! It’s such an awesome group!

Post-run sweaty selfie sporting my Blade Runner shirt and Boston hat…love them both!

I had some green beans fresh from Dave’s garden!!  (Yes, I am slightly obsessed and have been researching how to start my own garden next year.)

I stopped by Juice Bar for a cocoa banana…nom nom!

Every Thursday at 6pm, Fleet Feet hosts a Dirtbag trail run and mixer at Percy Warner Park!  I made a batch of energy bites with Nut Butter Nation’s Honey Vanilla Peanut Butter.  I’ll post the recipe soon!  I owe you guys way too many recipes.  I promise I’ll get them typed up!

There was a great crowd for the run!

8’s were great in the gym (I know how dorky that was!) and I had crepes and coffee at the Perch with Jason.

I received the latest Batch Box (discount code: CHOOSEJOY) in the mail…always a fun day!  Check out the honey sticks!!!

We have a new raw, vegan restaurant in Nashville called Avo!!  I have been stalking their Instagram and was so excited to try it!

I had the small caesar, pad thai, and I ate most of Jason’s “Snickers” dessert.  Everything was wonderful!!

The piece de resistance….AVOCADO MARGARITAS!!!!  Ah-mazing!

When’s the last time you went for a trail run?  Do you run more trails or road?  I trail run weekly, but I shift my focus based on which race I’m training for at the time.

What’s your favorite nut butter?

What’s your favorite margarita?  Frozen or rocks?

I am obsessed with jigsaw puzzles – that box looks perfect! Raw food is wonderful in the summer – cool, healthy, refreshing.

    I run more roads.

I am now drooling for a margarita on the rocks WITH salt at 6:57 am. Thank you:)

    Happy weekend!

That margarita looks so good! I haven’t seen an avocado margarita before, cool! My favorite nut butter would be peanut butter at the moment but I also love almond butter. I will take a lime margarita on the rocks. Have a great day!

It was my first avocado margarita…won’t be my last!

I’m still not a trail runner. One day though. 😉

And, I love margaritas!! Rocks for me though- the frozen ones just “melt” too quickly.

I think I drink them too quickly. They never have time to melt…lol!

      It’s so good!

  • Melissa

Those energy bites look so tasty!
    -I run roads/rail trails mainly
    -I LOVE peanut butter!
-I don’t really like margarita’s…but anything sounds fabulous in this heat/humidity!

All cold drinks look good right now!

Yay! This new restaurant looks so cool, Jen, and definitely made for you! I would love to do more trail running but, thanks to this heat, it’s kind of been pushed to the back burner. I run so early in the morning that it makes trail running kind of tough; when we get over the hump of this mid-summer blech, I’ll try again. Yes, please post the energy bites; such a great idea!
