Starbucks 10K GIVEAWAY!

My Saturday Mantra:

I paced my Fleet Feet Chicago group!

I was blessed with an AWESOME group of runners this summer and they are going to crush their races!

I took my sweaty self straight to the Juice Bar after our run.

For dinner, I was craving a salad and sweet potato fries.

And then I made a very dangerous discovery….the vegan chocolate chip cookie dough at Sunflower Cafe.  It is SOOOOOO good!

I was wiped out….so was Caroline, lol!

Sunday Funday has 1 rule:

My legs were jello for my recovery run, but I got it done!

His and hers coffee at Just Love Coffee!

A hike around Radnor Lake.  :)

And then my Instagram hit 10,000 Followers!!!!  Holy Guacamole!!!  From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!!!!!!

To celebrate and say THANK YOU, I’m giving away a $100 Starbucks Gift Card!  Head over to my Instagram account HERE and follow the directions to enter.

Did you race or run long?  Share!

Peak and Pit from the weekend? Peak: Prepping for this GIVEAWAY!!!  I seriously love giveaways! Pit: I was really wiped out after Saturday’s run.

My go-to is a bold brewed coffee. For “hand-crafted” drinks I like a one pump cinnamon dolce latte.

    • JenChoosesJoy

That cinnamon dolce latte sounds SO good!!!!

  • The Fit Fork

WOOHOO!!! Congratulations again on 10K!! and I am obsessed with that cookie dough from Sunflower. It is the only place I ‘stock-up’ on desserts…shameful! 😉

    Congrats on reaching 10k followers!
Peak of my weekend was a run with my Oiselle team at the lakefront. Pit was landscaping yesterday. We are overhauling the front landscape and its a lot of work.
My favorite Starbucks drink is skinny vanilla latte (hot or cold)

    • JenChoosesJoy

Landscaping really is hard work and it leaves me so sore.

there is a place where you can just buy raw cookie dough in a cup instead of ice-cream?? This is dangerous information….I’m going to pretend I didn’t see that picture.

    • JenChoosesJoy

And, it’s SOOOO good! I told Jason that we can’t keep it in the house. I have zero willpower.

  • AR

Congrats for your 10K followers! 😉

    • JenChoosesJoy

      Thank you!!!

  • Yissel

Peak was I ran my first race in my Oiselle singlet, met some fellow birds, and broke 25 minutes in my 5k! New PR 24:53 and 4th in my age group (40-44). It was a warm morning so I was surprised I was able to do that. I celebrated with a Starbucks caramel latte :-)
Pit would be it is still over 100F in Phoenix. I am over the hot! Sweating when you aren’t running as soon as you walk outside getting old. Where are you Fall?

    • JenChoosesJoy

I love the Oiselle singlets!!! And congrats on your PR!!!!

      • Yissel

        Thank you!! :-)

  • Suzy Slane

Peak? Not much. My weekend was brutal with two kids in the hospital on two different days for two different things. I can’t even believe it, BUT… at the end of the weekend, all was okay. Everything turned out, and I’m thankful. Pit? Andrew and I had some wine last night and I posted a picture of my bare bum on Facebook as my version of the super moon, and then realized about an hour later that I posted it publicly and not on my close friends list. OOPS. Typical Suzy.

    • JenChoosesJoy

I literally laughed out loud! You had a crazy weekend! Hopefully you’ll have an easy, calm week.

  • Beata F

Pit was the fact that I run too fast on the first 10 miles on my first ever 18 miler! Last 4 were really though physically and mentally. Everything hurt! Peak was that I didn’t quit and got thru it and learned a valuable lesson that 20 seconds CAN make a difference. Can’t wait for my 21 miler and this time I will rock it!

    • JenChoosesJoy

I’m so impressed that you were able to push through and finish!

  • casiruns

Peak – first long run after recovering from my first half! Felt good to get out again.
Pit – we went to a HUGE outdoor wedding, and it ended up downpouring! Sorry for the bride. But it was definitely a memory maker!

My Starbucks drink is a soy latte with one pump of whatever flavor I’m craving that day. Usually hazelnut or caramel. Today I got 2 pumps of chai, which was heavenly!

    • JenChoosesJoy

They say rain is good luck on your wedding day…hopefully it’s true!

  • Allegra

Ran the Warsaw Marathon yesterday and got a PR 3:27:34! Which was definitely the peak! I hadn’t been to starbucks in so long as i’ve been travelling but Poland has starbucks and I hobbled there today to get just that! Soy Americano Misto with 1 pump pumpkin spice. It was perfect :)

    • JenChoosesJoy

      Oh my gosh….you’re so fast!!!

  • Michelle Dragoo

Congrats!!!! That’s so exciting. Great job on your runs! I ran 10 miles on Saturday, which is my longest run since the marathon!

    • JenChoosesJoy

Congrats to you on a great long run!

  • Jamie Whittendale

Raced a half on Saturday – perfect for a pre-marathon tune up :) I love your Starbucks drink suggestion.. I’m going to have to try it out :)

    • JenChoosesJoy

      I LOVE tune-up races!

  • stephanie g

    Raced a 5k as a tune-up for my half… got a shiny new PR!
Peak: finally bit the bullet and bought a new car. It is very practical and I love it.
Pit: rained all day yesterday and was too cloudy to see the eclipse!
Fave Starbucks: just give me a grande latte w/ skim, no sweetener, and I’m a happy girl. :) But if I’m feeling indulgent, it’s a Mocha Frappuccino or Green Tea Frapp. YUM!

    • JenChoosesJoy

Congrats on a new PR!!!! And, you got it during a tune-up race….you rock!!!!

  • Laura Olinger

I love the soy lattes from Starbucks because they use vanilla soy milk. Yum! Always good after a hard run!

    • JenChoosesJoy

Yes it is!! Such a good treat!

  • Amanda B @ Cupcakes and Miles

Woohoo! Congrats on your milestone! :)

  • Hannah

I DID do a long run (for me) and in good time (for me). 5 miles on #sundayrunday in exactly 1 hour. AND it felt awesome and I could have gone longer, but needed to get the dog’s walk in and then get ready for a meeting.

Congrats on your instagram success! That is #legit and someone who pimps so much joy should definitely be recognized!

  • Abby
