YouTube Tuesday: What’s in my Fridge?

A few weeks ago I did a Periscope video about what’s in my fridge.  Not everyone is on periscope so I got requests to do a YouTube video. Here you go!!!

Click HERE to watch it on my YouTube channel, or scroll down to watch it on my blog.

Remember to give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my YouTube channel of you like these videos!!!

As always, let me know if you have any questions OR if you have any future video ideas!!

Love the video!!!! I love how you have everything ready to go as far as fruits and veggies. I saw a lot of people lately talking about how good the PSL at Starbucks is with soy milk. Have you tried it yet?

    • bubblyrunner

I always get my PSL with soy and LOVE it! I typically ask for just 1 pump of syrup because I don’t like it overly sweet.

    • JenChoosesJoy

I’ve been getting a pump of pumpkin added to my soy misto!!!

Love the salsa music! Our fridge looks similar but I am all about the meal prep so I have food ready to eat at all times.

    • JenChoosesJoy

I wish I was a meal prepper!!! It’s so impressive!

Hi Jen! I recently started reading your blog and love it! I love seeing what everyone keeps in their fridge! Would you do a video of what you keep on hand in your freezer? I have a toddler so freezer options help to squeeze in those extra veggies sometimes! Thanks :)

    • JenChoosesJoy

      I’ll definitely do that!!!

“Craving chocolate? Have some fruit!” Haha yeah… me neither. Does your husband eat meat? I love your videos- keep it up!

    • JenChoosesJoy

Nope…he’s a vegetarian too! And, thank you!!

  • Jamie Whittendale

Love this! My fridge is so boring and by the time Thursday/Friday rolls around, looks empty and sad! Great videos :)

    • JenChoosesJoy

      I felt the same way!!

Nice. I liked that you just linked the video to the blog for me. I have to snicker, I guess if I were to do something like this it would be titled, “What is in all 3 of my fridges!” Yeah, that is what it takes to feed this active family with 3 teenagers! (One of the fridges is just for beverages, ahem, also needed if you are parenting 3 teenagers…
I always have a bowl of hard boiled eggs–great for the kids to snack on and get protein while they wait for dinner…

    • JenChoosesJoy

I can’t imagine three teenagers!!!! Kudos to you!

This video was so fun! And made me realize I need to upgrade my fridge items!

Thoughts on cashew milk vs. almond milk? I typically use the unsweetened vanilla almond milk for smoothies/oatmeal but am curious if one tastes better than the other.

        • JenChoosesJoy

I like them both! I typically buy unsweetened vanilla.

  • Angie @ Pace with Grace Blog

Lots of good stuff in there! I am also part fruit bat and always have fresh fruit cut and ready in the fridge; the best!

    • JenChoosesJoy

      So good!!!

I’m impressed! If I made a video like this I would be pulling out containers of moldy leftovers saying “What in the world is THIS?” I love daiya as well, but just so you know there are some new fancy-schmancy vegan cheeses that are supposed to be amazing! I haven’t tried them (because I’m not that fancy) but your husband might like them better.

    • JenChoosesJoy

That’s a great point! I should try a few new brands and see if he likes them better!

  • Laura Olinger

My husband and I just tried daiya for the first time yesterday and we both liked it! It came on the vegan pizza at our Whole Foods. I’ve never used Earth Balance…have you ever baked with it?

    • JenChoosesJoy

I’ve baked with earth balance a few times. It definitely works well!

  • Richelle Winston

Okay so………. coconut whip? *mind blown* Loved you video, you should do shoes next lol

    • JenChoosesJoy

Way too many running shoes, lol!!!

  • Rachel

I’d love to hear more about how tart cherry juice helps in recovery?

Love trying new products so enjoyed your fridge video. Just curious as a VERY active person who is vegetarian and after watching your video what do you eat for more protein? Do you count your macros and worry about it at all or not? I’m not quite veggie but very meatless and always feel like I’m struggling for options (though I do eat eggs) Thoughts??

    • JenChoosesJoy

I get protein from greens, tofu, beans, nuts, etc…
I don’t count macros or calories. I just eat when I’m hungry…which is always!
When I first became a vegetarian, I struggled too. It gets easier. The recipes tab of my website is all vegetarian recipes!

Leafy Greens make up a majority of my FRIDGE 😀
And cauliflower alfredo sauce…..Must find it!

    • JenChoosesJoy

Glad I’m not alone!! I’m posting my cauliflower Alfredo sauce recipe this Thursday!

  • Melissa

    That was awesome! :)
